Selena shared a video on TikTok teasing the release of her new single on Friday. The 31-year-old singer uses an audio bite from the HBO show to excite her fans for the song's release. In the video, Selena lip-syncs to Kim's character, Samantha, from Sex and the City, receiving a call from a former lover who says, "It's over, I told my wife." Samantha, or Selena in this instance, asks the desperate lover, "Who is this?" It's a classic moment from Sex and the City that fans love to use as a sound bite on TikTok, which means only one thing. Selena Gomez is a fan of Samantha! We're not the only ones thrilled by this news; Kim retweeted the video with her thoughts. She shared, "I approve this message…" with a pink lipstick stain emoji. 

Not only is Selena giving authentic Samantha energy, but she looks fantastic while doing so. Selena shows she has not lost her comedic chops or style with a bright orange bandeau corset top, colossal gold hoop earrings, and a chic pearl necklace. Selena's new song Single Soon is the first release of 2023 since she unveiled a remix of Rema's Calm Down in 2022 that earned her nominations at the MTV Music Awards. While Kim is no longer attached to the Sex and the City universe, opting not to be involved in the HBO reboot And Just Like That due to rumors, she has an ongoing feud with Carrie Bradshaw's Sarah Jessica Parker. It was confirmed earlier this year that Kim will return for the final episode of the upcoming season.
