As if we needed any more reasons to love Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively! Could it be their unbelievable good looks, award-winning personalities, star-studded roles, or the fact that they appear somewhat "just like us" when it comes down to their hysterical social media posts? The two are known to troll each other back and forth on the Internet, and even though it's all fun and games, we live for the content!
Lively and Reynolds tied the knot back in September 2012 after meeting on the set of Green Lantern. But fast forward over a decade, the couple has three daughters together, James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2, and takes the title of one of the most loved couples in Hollywood. They are famously known for teasing and trolling each other, restoring truth in the universe that true love really does exist! So when it came down to Blake Lively's 35th birthday, we knew we would be in for a real treat.
The Deadpool star took to his Instagram to share a slideshow of selfies of the dynamic duo with a few hilariously adorable solo shots thrown into the mix - and, of course, paired the photos with a caption that did not disappoint. "Happy Birthday, @blakelively. You're spectacular," Reynolds wrote early on Thursday. "I'm not sure if you were born or invented. Also, thank you for urging me to leave the house every now and again," with a red heart next to it. Honestly, was she born or invented? Lively responded back to the adorable post, commenting, with two smiling faces, "♥️ my guy," and the comment raked in over 25,000 likes!
Of course, the trolling doesn't just work one way! Lively also joins in on the fun, as she did just the day before Reynolds dropped his birthday post to Blake. The Gossip Girl star took to her Instagram in a two-piece white bikini in celebration of summer, writing, "summer lovin'… had me a blast," and hilariously tagged her husband in the photo. Although we don't know if she was crediting him for the photo or signaling a total thirst trap, Ryan came in hot with the comment, "Wrexham is the Ibiza of Wales." The Free Guy star has co-owned the Welsh football team Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney since 2020, so dropping the team name on Blake's pic is definitely one way to get some attention! Stay tuned for more laughs. And happy birthday Blake!
