Former Saturday Night Live legend Molly Shannon has gone viral after losing her phone in downtown New York City. But this isn't your average lost and found story - Molly befriended some friendly New Yorkers who helped her in her time of need!
It all started when Vincent Zurzolo and his partner Josephine found an abandoned cell phone in the back of a cab on their way home one day. The helpful couple shared their story on Vincent's Instagram page, which has been viewed over 40,000 times in just two days. "So, Josephine and I are coming home from New York Comic Con, and a phone starts ringing in the back of the cab," Zurzolo explained in the short clip. "We pick it up and eventually find out whose phone it is," the New Yorker continued. "And we get a phone call from someone who's very nervous that they've lost their phone, and look whose phone it is..."

The camera panned to The Other Two star, who relied on her Superstar pose for her grand entrance. For long-time fans of the comedian, this over-the-top move has become synonymous with Molly's legendary timing and expertise at physical comedy. She has not been one to shy away from making fun of herself - and that was clear in her light-hearted approach to the whole New York taxi fiasco. The Hotel Transylvania voice actress used her 15 seconds of fame on Vincent's Instagram video to share her side of the story.
"This has never happened to me because I'm very reliable with my phone," the comedian confessed. "But it must have slipped out of my purse, and I was panicking." But by the time she realized what had happened, it was too late... or so she thought. "I got back to my hotel, and did the 'Find My iPhone,' and I'm seeing my phone on like 33rd Street, and I'm like, 'I'm never gonna get it back.'" But thanks to some kind and helpful strangers, Shannon's phone is back in her possession, and she's made some friends along the way. "I said it's very serendipitous that we all meet," Molly shared.
