Kristin Chenoweth is giving us all the feels as she steps into her iconic Glinda the Good Witch costume from the broadway show, Wicked! Chenoweth, who was a part of the original cast in 2003, shared a heartfelt video of her on TikTok transforming into Glinda two decades later. For Wicked fans everywhere, we know how much this means - so let's take a closer look!

For those who need a little refresher, let us break it down for you. Wicked, the musical, was actually based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which was originally based on the original 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. The iconic broadway show followed two unlikely friends, Elphaba, played by Idina Menzel, and Glinda, played by Chenoweth, who face a variety of challenges that ultimately lead to a few tough decisions. The show's success broke box-office hits worldwide, making it the second-highest grossing musical in the world after The Lion King.

Naturally, the legendary broadway musical developed quite a cult following over the years. So, when Chenoweth posted a TikTok of her rocking the OG Glinda the Good Witch dress, we were transported all the way back to Oz. She shared a short clip of herself transforming into Glinda the Good Witch, captioning the video, "#highnotes are back… this time for #glinda." Chenoweth belted out a wickedly high note after she said, "When you get your Glinda gown 20 years later..." Ah!!

The recent clip follows a short TikTok from last week where we see the broadway star hilariously banging on a glass case where the whimsical blue dress was held. Set to the iconic song, Popular, we see Chenoweth magically transform into Glinda the Good Witch after a few attempts at knocking on the display case to retrieve her dress finally! "It finally worked," the actress said, "I do have magic." Chenoweth took to her social media to announce "#wickedwednesdays are now a thing" in preparation for the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked! Starring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the film will be split into two and is expected to release on Christmas Day in 2024 (with part two coming later.) Until then, stay tuned!
