It seems like a week doesn't go by without a new and hilarious story coming out of Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's family home. From honest anecdotes about married life to cute moments with their two daughters, we're never short on LOL-worthy content. And this week's shenanigans came from 6-year-old Delta.
The comedic genius is the youngest of Kristen and Dax's two kids, little sister to 8-year-old Lincoln. And with parents who are legends in the comedy business, it's not difficult to imagine that these girls are being raised in one seriously comedic home. But the quick wit and funny back-and-forth don't always come at the perfect time, and as Kristen shared, Delta put on quite the standup performance at the oh-so-convenient time of bedtime in the Bell-Shepard household. The Good Place actress recalled the funny moment during an episode of her latest project, Momsplaining With Kristen Bell.
As Kristen put it, her youngest daughter Delta has proven to be "the perfect hybrid between Chris Farley and Shirley Temple." And with that winning combination, "she gets away with everything" by melting her parents' hearts and cracking some smiles. The sweet-as-can-be attitude works like a charm, according to Bell. And even if one of the parents puts their foot down, Delta is always ready for some adorable 6-year-old negotiation. But neither Kristen nor Dax could've been prepared for what came out of their daughter's mouth one night.
The day was coming to a close, and the mom and dad duo began the lengthy process of getting their two energetic kids to bed. Dax offered 30 more seconds with the toy Delta was playing with, and when it was clear that his daughter wasn't cooperating, added, "Don't make a fool out of me." Then, his quick-witted daughter quipped back with a line that was one for the books. "And she looks at him," Kristen explained during her show, "She goes, 'Daddy, I won't make a fool out of you. I'm gonna make you a star.'"
