Kaley Cuoco had a romantic message for her husband on their five-year anniversary. But the sweet moment took a hilarious turn when Cuoco's ex-boyfriend and castmate, Johnny Galecki, got involved. Read on for all of the funny details.
In case you missed it, the stars of The Big Bang Theory were a power couple on our television screens and also dated in real life for about two years. So when Cuoco's anniversary post for husband Karl Cook seemed to ignore the previous romance with her ex co-star, it wasn't long before Galecki hysterically stepped in.
"Happy 5 years to the weirdest person I know!" The Flight Attendant actress wrote. "I don't remember a moment before you entered my life.. what a boring life that must have been! I love you @mrtankcook!" The lovefest continued in the comments section, as Karl responded, "This is the only way I want to kiss from now on!!! I love you so much honey!"
Other friends showered the couple with love, with heart emoji comments and wishing the adorable duo a happy anniversary. But Johnny Galecki took a different approach as he simply wrote, "Um." It looks like the actor took offense after his ex-girlfriend basically said their relationship was boring and forgettable!
But it was all in good nature, as Kaley later took to her Instagram Story and shared the continuation of the saga. The Golden Globe nominee posted a screenshot of a text she sent to the actors with an article about Jonny's comment. Cuoco wrote, "LOL," and the ex-beau answered with a, "Ha!" There are no hard feelings between these two comedy icons. In November 2020, Kaley opened up about her relationship with her former castmate.
"We dated really early on for almost two years. When we did the pilot, I was crushing so hard on Galecki, but he had a girlfriend," she explained on an episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert. "We got together and just fell mad for each other for two years, but then we broke up. Luckily Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly, and we're closer today than we ever were." And fortunately for all of us, we got plenty more seasons of the legendary sitcom even after the split.
