Forty has never looked so good as it does on Jamie Dornan. Not only is he currently one of Hollywood's most prominent actors, but he's also taking the opportunity to show people he's in perfect physical health - by riding a mechanical bull! Instagram footage revealed by the usually private actor gave us a glimpse at his cowboy-themed birthday party - and we can't get enough...
With the simple caption, "This is 40," Dornan uploaded the hilarious clip of himself riding a mechanical bull in front of his friends and family, who were cheering him on. Rocking a Stetson cowboy hat and a tan suede jacket, the star showed off his bull-riding skills, riding for around eight seconds until he was thrown off.
While the guestlist specifics are unknown, we certainly have our suspicions. What do Jamie Dornan, Eddie Redmayne, Robert Pattinson, and Andrew Garfield all have in common? Besides the fact they are all Hollywood icons, they are actually all British and were all roommates at one point as they spent their days desperately auditioning for their big break. Since then, they have all remained incredibly close pals, there to support each other for their professional and personal milestones. Based on this, we can only imagine there were a few of these Englishmen in the crowd to cheer him on. Safe to say, that is a friend group we'd love to get in on.
Garfield and Dornan had a legendary reunion on the Oscars red carpet just last month, where they took a minute to realize how far they'd come from their days as wannabe actors. "We just had this beautiful moment there on the carpet, like, 'Check us out, 'cause this is a cool thing," Dornan gushed. "But we've known each other 17 years, you know, and there's times where we weren't working that much, and it wasn't happening for us, so to be able to share the whole last few months with him has been a beautiful thing." Dornan was there for his work on the movie Belfast and Garfield was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Tick Tick Boom. But from the sounds of it, they're just getting started! Stay tuned.
