Most people appreciate their parents for their patience, guidance, and unconditional love. Hilary Duff's daughter, Banks Violet, has one more item to add to that list: Her mother's last album, Breathe In. Breathe Out. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the singer and actress shared a funny story of her little fan's love for Duff's music.
The 34-year-old told the magazine that Banks loves listening to her mother's 2015 album in the car - something Duff isn't always too excited about. "I can't get away from it because someone exposed my 3-year-old to it," Duff joked, referring to the album. She also mentioned that her daughter even has a favorite song - Sparks - that she constantly requests in the car. "We get in the car, and I have to listen to my own music because my daughter's screaming, 'I want 'parks, I want 'parks.'" the singer quipped. What's even worse, according to Duff, is that Banks likes to jam to her mother's music in the car on the way to preschool. LOL.
To avoid embarrassment, her mother turns down the volume as they approach the school, and apparently, Banks doesn't take kindly to this. "I'm rolling up to her preschool, and every time I turn it way down she's like, 'Why do you turn it off? Why you turn it off?' Like, girl. I'm not rolling up to your preschool blasting my own ****," Duff laughed. "So embarrassing."
Duff's music isn't the only part of her career that her daughter is hyping up. Apparently, Banks was also right there with her mother to celebrate the debut of Duff's new Hulu show, How I Met Your Father, on January 18, 2022. The Lizzie McGuire actress took to Instagram to share adorable videos of Banks congratulating her on the premiere of the show. "Congrats, mom, on How I Met Your Father. I'm so proud of you!" Banks said in the video. Hilary Duff was also seen in the clip, saying that her daughter is "really the person [she cares] about to wish [her] a congratulations." She added, "I just want Banks to think I'm cool." We think you've officially passed the test, Hilary.
