Celebrities - they’re just like us! Even famous dads get roasted by their teenage daughters. Duing his latest appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Matt Damon shared how his 16-year-old likes to give him a hard time - and it's pure comedy gold...
Matt Damon is regarded as one of the best actors in the world. From Good Will Hunting to The Bourne Legacy, his career has been an unstoppable amount of hits. There is seemingly nothing that this actor can’t do. From playing a con artist in the Ocean’s Trilogy to being a spaceman stuck on Mars to portraying a rugby player who befriends the legendary Nelson Mandela, he's done it all! And while all of this may seem impressive to most people, his daughter, Isabella, remains unfazed by her superstar dad. Damon told Meyers, “My 16-year-old likes to give me a hard time and she is very clear about not wanting to see anything that I’m in if she thinks it might be good.” So, what about those less successful films of his?
According to the actor, she’ll watch those! Meyers' response was, “Oh my god. That is the most ice-cold 16-year-old thing I’ve ever heard.” One example of Damon’s movies that did not do so hot was the 2016 sci-fi film The Great Wall. The movie was about a group of European mercenaries who end up encountering a secret army that help protect the Great Wall of China against monstrous beings. The movie received a 35% on the Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer. Yikes! Damon continued telling host Seth Meyers, “My daughter was talking to one of her friends, and she was talking about this movie. She kept calling it, ‘The Wall.’ And I was finally like, ‘Isabella, that movie is called, ‘The Great Wall.’ She was like, ‘Dad, there is nothing great about that movie.’” Ouch, that burn even stung us. However, there’s no bad blood between this famous dad and his daughter.
This is probably just a phase, and by now, we're guessing Damon is used to dealing with girls, since he's the father of four daughters! In 2019, he even got tattoos of all their names on his upper arm. Awww! Maybe one day Isabella will give one of her dad’s better movies a chance.
