Just the other week, it was Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck. Now, it's Halle Berry and her celebrity twin that are taking the internet by storm. Only unlike our Deadpool star, the actress's little mishap didn't go down in a New York pizza parlor - but you can bet it was just as hilarious. Keep scrolling.
It all started on Monday, December 27, when a fan took to Twitter to shout out the upcoming star of The Little Mermaid. "Can't wait to see you under da sea," user @What_Chitman wrote Halle Berry, alongside a mermaid emoji. What she didn't realize, though, was that she had the wrong Halle...

"… wrong Halle, lol. I can't wait to see her too, though!" the actress wrote back, referencing the actual star of the upcoming Disney film: Halle Bailey. Classic mix-up, huh? In fact, this actually isn't the first time the two actresses have gotten mixed up with one another. "Lol, ain't gonna lie, when I heard the news, I too had a raised eyebrow like..." another confused fan soon chimed in.
I legit thought Ariel from The Little Mermaid live action movie was portrayed by Halle BERRY and I was really confused for a while 😂😂😂

Of course, though, this isn't the only case of mistaken identity over in Hollywood. In case you forgot, Ryan Reynolds recently opened up about his own hilarious mix-up with Ben Affleck. Only, unlike Berry, he decided to ditch the honest route. "They believe I'm Ben Affleck... and I've never corrected them," the actor joked of his go-to pizza place in the East Village. "They'll ask how J.Lo is."
While perhaps we'll never get to witness Ryan set the record straight, we will be catching one of the Halle's clear everything up when Bailey (above) stars as Ariel in the upcoming The Little Mermaid reboot. We don't know about you guys, but we can't wait to be a part of her world.
Until then, be sure to stay tuned.
