She may be the queen of lifestyle tips and tricks, but even Gwyneth Paltrow can get confused by all the latest trends social media introduces. While many of us are familiar with the viral "glazed donut" hack, Paltrow was never fully informed about what it entails - and she proceeded to make her, um, own assumptions about its meaning. Lucky for us, the results of her mix-up were revealed on Hailey Bieber's YouTube series, Who's in My Bathroom? Check out the hilarious exchange below...

First things first, allow us to explain the trend. In a YouTube video titled "Getting Ready for Bed," Bieber revealed her nighttime skin routine step by step. "My standard when I go to bed at night is that if I'm not getting into bed looking like a glazed donut, then I'm not doing the right thing. Find yourself a moisturizer that helps you look like a glazed donut at the end of the day," she told her fans. Of course, they listened - and ever since, skincare bloggers everywhere have been posting their glistening glazed donut looks.

"I wanted you to take me through your skincare routine," Hailey said to Gwyneth in the YouTube interview. Surrounded by both Rhode and Goop products while sitting at a table in the bathroom, the two shared tips for getting the perfect skin. After Paltrow's short demonstration, it was Hailey's turn to share her secrets, of course choosing to address the widespread trend. "I know you're curious about this glazed donut trend; I didn't come up with this concept! I feel like it's always been in the skincare world," she told her guest before explaining its 'glowy, glazy, sheen' goal. "Ooooh okay, got it," a clearly confused Gwyneth responded. So what did Gwyneth think it was before this explanation?

Noticing her guest's facial expression, she inquired further. "Where did your head go?" she asked. Despite the trend spreading far and wide, Gwyneth hilariously admitted she misunderstood the trend at first, thinking it was something sexual. "Glazed donut sounded like sexual," she told Bieber. "Like, does that mean someone wants to lick your face?" Laughing at the misunderstanding, Hailey responded, "You're like, 'what's this new position everybody's getting to, the glazed donut?'" We laugh now, but there's no saying what the next social media trend will be... or hilarious mishap. Stay tuned!
