Ever wondered how an edgy rocker came to fall in love with a Southern Country star? It appears we might've just gotten our answer. This past weekend, Gwen Stefani and fiancé Blake Shelton took to our screens to share their remarkable love story with the rest of us. And you're gonna want to see it for yourself.

For starters, whoever said opposites attract was clearly not talking about these two lovebirds. Sure, they may have been going steady for over 5 years now, but don't get it twisted: The only reason Gwen and Blake ever came to be was because of an, um, miscommunication. You didn't hear it from us, though.

"I think I'm ready to start dating again," Stefani gushed to her Voice pal, Adam Levine, in T-Mobile's latest Super Bowl ad, set a few years back. "I want someone completely different," she continued. Now this is where things get interesting. Whom exactly did she have in mind? *Enter Blake Shelton.*

Well, not really. You see, thanks to her iPhone’s spotty connection, her request for someone “from another country… cultured… not threatened by a strong, confident woman” was met with a different interpretation. Instead? Levine heard, “Someone completely country, uncultured and threatened by a strong, confident woman;” Which is, well, where Blake comes in… literally.

"Blake?!" a confused Gwen asked, as the Southern boy marched himself - and his spurred boots - into the restaurant for a dinner date with his unsuspecting costar. Yep, can't say we saw that one coming either. But we all know how this story ends, don't we?

In fact, if there's one thing to take away from their hilarious on-screen exchange? "Don't trust your love life to just any network," as T-Mobile happily reminded us. Oh, and Adam Levine? If you're reading this? We're also ready to start dating again. *Cough, cough.*
