Goofy Celebrities: 25+ Red Carpet Mishaps That Prove A-Listers Are Human Too
| LAST UPDATE 06/30/2022
The Red Carpet is known to be a place full of glitz and glam, but even the most poised celebrities aren't perfect all the time. For some, those awkward moments that we have nightmares about have become a brutal reality. Check out the most unforgettable Red Carpet mishaps to see which one surprises you most.
Someone's Feeling the Love
Bradley Cooper's strut down the Red Carpet during the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was hilariously interrupted when a strange man appeared, hugging him so tightly, he couldn't move. Despite being caught off guard and losing his ability to walk, Cooper didn't seem too bothered.
The prank wasn't exactly much of a surprise from Ukrainian journalist Vitalii Sediuk, who has a history of being a serial jokester. It's still a mystery as to how he managed to step foot onto the Red Carpet, though. All I've got to say is poor Michael Pena. He could've used some love too!
Emma Stone's Awkwardness Is Contagious
This photo is only one of Emma Stone's endless, painfully awkward moments from the premiere of La La Land in 2016. She and director, Damien Chazelle, grew even closer as the night went on. The most cringe-worthy moment of the evening, though, was when Chazelle was called up to receive his award, and Stone got a little too excited.
Being that she was the star of the film, she assumed the director wanted to give her a hug, except his only thought was to kiss his girlfriend. This resulted in a severely uncomfortable three-way hug, leaving Stone feeling very out of the loop.
The Dictator's Plus One
Let it be known that Sacha Baron Cohen never arrives solo to a Red Carpet event. Dressed as his character from The Dictator at the 2012 Oscars, the actor brought along an unusual, and definitely uninvited guest. You're probably wondering what exactly he's pouring onto that carpet, and truthfully we do not know.
The actor claimed to have brought the ashes of a prominent man in politics, which is not surprising from Cohen. He seemed to have upset Ryan Seacrest, however, when the mysterious white powder got on his suit. Let's hope Seacrest has an excellent dry cleaner!
Trippin' Down the Red Carpet
The award for best-dressed at the 2000 Oscars most definitely goes to; Trey Parker and Matt Stone! The two creators of South Park really stirred things up when they not only dressed as women but also pulled up to the Red Carpet severely under the influence.
Parker and Stone have a history of challenging the status quo, especially when surrounded by Hollywood's elite. With that being said, they blew all spectators away with their glamourous wardrobes. Parker made quite a statement with the deep V, while Stone went for a simpler look in his elegant, pink gown.
Emma Thompson Staked Her Claim
It was really too bad for anyone who was hoping to catch up with Hayley Atwell at the London premiere of The Children Act in 2018. If you didn't notice what was going on in this photo, Atwell's co-star, Emma Thompson, essentially claimed the actress as her own, from the moment she laid eyes on her that night.
We're not really sure if Thompson missed her co-star dearly, or was simply trying to protect her from the crazed paparazzi? Atwell might have been screaming on the inside, but she did a great job keeping it to herself. After all, Thompson's made it clear that she couldn't care less about what others think.
A Comedian is Never Off Duty
Amy Schumer takes her career as a comedian extremely seriously, which explains why she can only go so long without making people laugh. So, of course, her initial thought here was to face plant at the TIME 100 Gala's Red Carpet, right in front of Kim and Kanye. "I'm doing God's work," said Schumer, after her dramatic dive.
Clearly, there is something wrong with this picture because neither Kim nor Kanye is laughing or showing any emotion. The audience was absolutely loving this interaction, though, and eventually, Kanye flashed a smile. Kim, on the other hand, well, we don't understand her sense of humor.
And Way Down We Go, Go, Go
Michael Cera was certainly not the first to take a tumble on the Red Carpet. However, he may have been the first to trip over himself, instead of over a seam, at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Props to Catalina Sandino, the actress who tried her best to help break the fall, though it appears that Cera almost brought her down with him.
I think it's safe to say that the actor might very well be just as awkward in real life as he is in many of our favorite movies. At least this trait led him to a successful career in Hollywood. In fact, I'd take a minor fall every now and then for that.
Katy Perry's Sticky Situation
Through her vibrant and feminine song lyrics over the years, Katy Perry has made it clear that she loves cake, California girls, and all things pink. So it did not come as a shock when she jumped into a giant cake at the end of her MTV Latin America Awards performance back in 2008.
It was all fun and games until the pop star had become stuck to the life-sized birthday cake. Once she unglued herself from the pink frosting, getting up off of the floor was a whole separate issue. Luckily her loyal backup band members helped Perry recover from this quite literal, sticky situation.
Being Clean and Green Comes First
It's not every day that stars come face to face with a vacuum cleaner halfway down the Red Carpet. Jason Segal encountered a slight detour while walking the Red Carpet for the Oscars back in 2012. Just like Marshall Eriksen, the environmental lawyer in how I Met Your Mother, it appears that he's all for being clean and green.
You'd think Segal had gotten pooped on by a bird, or worse, had run into his high school girlfriend, from the look on his face here. Needless to say, the security guard, who was dressed to the T, by the way, had a job to do, and not even Jason Segal could get in his way.
Earring on the Loose
All of us girls, and maybe even some guys, can relate to the inconvenience of losing an earring. The Swedish model and Victoria's Secret Angel, Elsa Hosk, was determined to locate her runaway earring, all while in a dress and stilettos at the Venice Film Festival in 2019.
Those things are pretty small, by the way, so getting on one's hands and knees to scan the floor is required for any chance of getting the piece of metal back in one's ears. In fact, to do so in that revealing dress, Elsa must've been wearing some pretty pricey earrings.
Not Every Red Carpet Is Seamless
With all of the attention each Red Carpet event gets, you'd think the infamous walkway would at least have its seams tucked away. Pianist and tv presenter, Jools Holland, was the first to fall victim to the Red carpet's flaws at 2014's Men of the Year Awards, where he tripped over a seam.
Being the positive and resilient man that he is, Holland quickly got back up and flashed the cameramen a smile and a bow. Thankfully, he ultimately did not suffer from any significant injuries and was able to enjoy the rest of his evening, as well.
Never Rely on the Teleprompter
Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie appear to be confidently presenting an award in this photo. The reality, though, is that this was the exact moment they realized the teleprompter was not in their favor. “I’m not going to lie to you...they’ve put up the wrong stuff on the teleprompter,” said a startled Jonah Hill at the 2014 Golden Globes.
Hill's first instinct had been to be as honest with the audience as possible, despite the inevitable awkwardness. Rather than improvising, the actors waited until they received a hard copy of their script before they continued. And that, folks, is just another reminder that technology is not always reliable.
Beauty is Pain
Runway models spend countless hours mastering the art of walking, so a simple strut down the Red Carpet should be a breeze for them. Well, it would be, if it weren't for the inconvenient trains on many of their gowns. Plus-size model, Ashley Graham fell victim to this drawback at the 2017 Time Gala in New York.
Luckily, the model is a pro at keeping her balance, so she managed to catch herself before completely falling to the ground. If that were me, though, I definitely would have made sure to have hemmed the dress, prior to the Red Carpet event.
Always Double Trouble With These Two
These steps must have been lined with gold because Tina Fey and Poehler could not pick their heads up, as they continued to approach the stage at the 2013 Emmy Awards. But really, what exactly was this dynamic duo doing? Well, it turns out that the actresses were taking proper safety precautions while preparing to present.
You see, after witnessing Jennifer Lawrence take a tumble on the same steps the year before, Poehler had taken it upon herself to do everything possible to avoid that scenario. While it seemed rather dramatic, and maybe a bit unsanitary, the pair successfully made it to the stage without a fall.
Keep Your Hands to Yourself
"John, what are you doing?" was the exact thought that went through every spectator's mind while watching this encounter at the 2015 Oscars. But John Travolta simply wanted to ensure that Idina Menzel heard the words he was mumbling to her on stage, which she most definitely did.
Menzel did her best to ignore the overly intimate interaction, taking place before a large audience, no less - only Travolta couldn't let her go. No surprise, he was later called out for this inappropriate behavior. Let's just hope that for Menzel's sake, he remembered his breath mint beforehand.
Too Much Skin?
When you're bringing Brad Pitt as your plus one to an Academy Award show, I can see why you might end up "trying too hard," with your appearance per se. Angelina Jolie got her fair share of attention on social media, after posing quite dramatically with her scandalous dress at the 2012 Oscars.
Some say she was showing way too much skin with this high slit, while others weren't too bothered by the dress itself, more so Jolie's choice of pose. The actress was completely unaware of how she'd appeared on the Red Carpet until she was hit with chatter on social media the next day. But hey, at least she won Brad Pitt over that night.
"Imma Let You Finish"
How can we forget this uncalled for - and extremely uncomfortable -moment from the VMA's in 2009, where Kanye West hijacked Taylor Swift's spotlight? All I have to say is, poor Taylor. Winning an esteemed award is the achievement of a lifetime for these artists, and they deserve a few uninterrupted moments to take it all in.
Then again, in Kanye's mind, it's Kanye's world, and we're all living in it. After he immediately interrupted Swift's speech with, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you. Imma let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!" Beyonce was left mortified.
Sweaty Palms
I think it's time they start redesigning these Academy Awards because they appear to be getting heavier and heavier. This was initially discovered back in 2009 when Kristen Stewart received the award for Best Female Performance at the MTV Movie Awards. She quickly lost her grip and dropped her precious Golden Popcorn statue.
Stewart was extremely embarrassed in the moment, though she's since learned to embrace this unforgettable moment in history. Luckily there was a prop master on standby, so the actress was still able to cherish her perfect and undamaged Golden Popcorn award.
Nothing Is Real
We love it when stars reveal their true feelings about the lives of Hollywood's elite. Especially when Jim Carrey revealed that he, himself, was on a mission to "Find the most meaningless thing he could come to and join." He had been referring to the Harper's Bazaar Icons party from 2017, and his message got across loud and clear.
Reporter, Catt Sadler, had been left speechless after his unexpected monologue, only Carey didn't stop there. He proceeded to explain his thoughts about nothing being real, emphasizing the lack of meaning he'd found in the event. I wonder if he only attended so he could get the chance to expose his thoughts to the world.
The Struggle to Hold It Together
Wardrobe malfunctions are simply our of one's control, so when something doesn't go as planned, it's all about how well one can bounce back. Immediately after accepting the award for Female Star of the Year at the 2010 ShoWest convention in Las Vegas, Katherine Heigl's dress literally fell apart.
Luckily the timing worked in her favor, as one of her hands had just become made available, which was obviously needed to hold the strap in place. Heigl then continued on with her acceptance speech, as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred. Talk about showbiz!
Watch the Heels, Ladies
If your Academy Award dress is going to get stepped on and ruined by anyone, best if it's by one of the world's most exclusive fashion designers. While making her way down the Red Carpet at the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" Gala in 2014, Stella McCartney somehow became entangled with the train of Rihanna's dress.
Rihanna didn't seem too bothered by the incident, though, lending a helping hand to her fellow A-lister. Maybe it had a little something to do with the fact that if RiRi's dress was damaged, McCartney could have always replaced it with one of her own.
The Man in the White Coat
The mystery from the 2015 Met Gala still remains: Who was this man in the white coat that tumbled headfirst down the stairs? Rumor had it, this anonymous man was Jason Derulo, but that was later proven false as the singer appeared to be unharmed, and had remained on his feet the entire evening.
Derulo had rocked a spiffy white suit in the past, hence why there was speculation that the man tumbling down the stairs was him. After further inspection, it was discovered that the man didn't resemble Derulo at all, and it turned out that the photo was actually from the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, not the Met Gala.
Shocking Wardrobe Malfunction
During a time of traumatic wardrobe malfunction, it's essential for one to stop, drop the mic, and take cover. Just ask Nicki Minaj, who found herself in a state of utter shock while performing "Bang Bang" at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2014.
The singer was definitely regretting her last-minute outfit change, which she had purposely chosen to match Ariana Grande and Jessie J. Luckily, Minaj wasn't alone on stage, so she was able to adjust her wardrobe while the other two ladies kept up with the music. Talk about starting off with a bang.
Caught on Camera
John Travolta surprised us with a few awkward photo ops over the years, and just from the first glance at this one, Scarlett Johansson looks rather unamused and uninterested at the 2015 Oscars. But Scarlett assured us, "There is nothing strange, creepy, or inappropriate about John Travolta."
"The image that is circulating is an unfortunate still-frame from a live-action encounter that was very sweet and totally welcome," she added. So it sounds like this wasn't one of those unwanted photos caught by the paparazzi, it was just a real-life moment being captured. Happens to the best of us.
Soaring on Stage
There's no better way to make an entrance on stage than literally soaring in and getting some air, in stilettos! That's precisely what Jennifer Garner did as she got ready to announce the winner for Best Soundtrack at the 2006 Oscars. Like many other stars, Garner's heel got stuck in her gown, and it was all downhill from there.
Well, she never actually hit the ground, so we'll call this one an impressive save for the actress. The crowd couldn't get enough of her hilariously charming facial expressions in response to the shock she experienced on stage. Jennifer finished presenting with a smile on her face and a whole audience of fans cheering her on.
What's in Your Pocket?
At the premiere of The Lorax back in 2012, Zac Efron took the entire Red Carpet by surprise when he reached into his pocket, and a latex happened to fall out. On the one hand, at least the actor proved to the whole world that he's always being safe.
But at the same time, poor Zac, that must've been slightly embarrassing. He was caught mouthing "Oh my God" to his publicist, which was a totally valid reaction given the situation. He took it like a champ, though, picking up the object, throwing on his shades, and continuing his stroll down the carpet.
"I'm Ethnic"
Talk about awkward moments, just wait till you hear this one. "You look like you've just come off like an island or something, you're very tan, very tropical," a reporter said to Rashida Jones 2015 SAG awards. While it's always nice to receive a compliment, especially on the Red Carpet, the actress' response made the reporter cringe.
"I mean, you know I'm ethnic," Jones responded. The reporter tried her best to recover from the uncomfortable conversation by saying, "It's just being ethnic. That's what it is." Not quite sure what that's supposed to mean, but hey, at least the reporter had good intentions.
Stick to Your Own Lines, People
Oh, the joys of using a teleprompter! Margot Robbie and Jonah Hill weren't the only ones who had a slight technical difficulty while presenting an award. At the 2020 Golden Globes, Sofia Vergara and Matt Bomer missed an autocue, which resulted in the actors saying the same line, something that's meant to be avoided at all costs.
Before any words of clarity got out, Sofia exclaimed, "That was my line!" After teasing Matt on stage, Sofia encouraged him to proceed with the line, regardless of who was meant to say it initially. No matter whose mistake this was, it looked like a quality bonding moment for the actors and gave everyone in the room a good laugh.
Even Angels Slip Sometimes
Believe it or not, even modelesque angels take a tumble from time to time. In 2017, veteran model Ming Xi had a misstep on the runway but was able to pull herself together and finish off strong. "As many of you may already know, I fell during my 5th year walking at Victoria's Secret show yesterday," explained Ming.
"It was no doubt one of my hardest moments I have ever had to go through in my career, especially since the show was taking place in my hometown, in front of my mother's and my people's eyes," Ming added. "However, the support I received from everyone yesterday was incredible."
Don't Touch the Dress
At a Tidal event in 2015, Beyonce's assistant was simply doing her job, keeping her eyes on Queen B all night, but the star was over it after a little while. When her assistant went to fix the frills on Beyonce's dress, she quietly snapped at her, saying "stop it," which took many people by surprise.
Hopefully, her assistant was able to brush it off, but hey, we definitely feel for the girl. Can you imagine Beyonce telling you to stop whatever you're doing after you were just trying to make everything perfect? We're sure Bey was just overwhelmed at the moment since, after all, it's a lot of pressure to look this good.
Forget Fame
You may have thought you've seen it all when it comes to Red Carpet attire, but Shia LaBeouf took things to the next eleven when he showed up to the premiere of Nymphomaniac wearing a paper bag over his head. He strutted down the Berlin film Festival Red Carpet leaving us wondering if he really doesn't want to be famous anymore.
This unique face accessory came shortly after the actor tweeted the same phrase, "I'm not famous anymore," where he claimed that it was time for his "retirement from public life." Now that's certainly not something you see every day. It looks like he was ready to move on to bigger and better things.
Rockabye Grammys
Adele has impressed us since the first moment we heard her voice, but it wasn't until the 2012 Grammys that we literally saw how award-worthy her voice is. Just check out how many of these babies are lying in her arms, six to be exact. That's more than some artists receive during their entire career.
After humbly accepting each award, Adele was caught saying, "This is ridiculous!" We're not sure if she was referring to her feeling of joy or the number of shiny objects she was holding, which she nearly dropped. Some of her facial expressions that were caught on camera were simply one of a kind, and made us love her even more!
Impulsive Photobomb Like No Other
"Yes, I photobombed U2!" admitted Benedict Cumberbatch after the 2014 Oscars. "But that was all Ellen DeGeneres's fault because she plied everyone with vodka on the Red Carpet. A friend really wanted me to get a photo with U2. So I just saw the opportunity, and I've never felt an impulse like it."
This epic photobomb went down as one of the most significant moments in Oscars history, and Benedict definitely shocked these rockstars, as you can see by their faces. "I had a ridiculously good time," added Cumberbatch. "I was a little nervous... I felt like I crashed the party a bit."
Closer Than Ever
It looks like the movie The Other Woman genuinely made Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz closer than ever, unlike their characters on screen. Just check out Leslie's grip on costar Cameron's behind, they're more than just coworkers. Fans, friends, and really everyone was in shock at their public friendliness at the 2014 premiere.
It's too bad we didn't get a view of Cameron's reaction, what do you think the expression on her face was? Maybe Leslie thought no one was looking, or perhaps she was proud to reveal her love for her costar and show off their playful relationship. I guess we'll never know the truth behind this level of affection.
Embracing the Fans
George Clooney has been stealing our hearts since he first started his Hollywood career, so it's no surprise that these fans were desperately trying to get his attention at the Toronto premiere of Suburbicon in 2017. One elderly woman even grabbed his face to get a better look at this handsome fella, and he didn't seem too bothered.
Here you see George embracing his screaming fans, even pretending to be one of them for the photo op. The series of photos from the event went viral instantly, as nearly every female in the world is dying to get their hands on the one and only 'Gorgeous Clooney.'
Candy Wrappers Are All the Rage
We didn't think it was possible to love and admire Lizzo anymore than we already do, but guess what, this photo changed it all. Lizzo is undeniably a queen, so if she wants to wear a custom Moschino chocolate wrapper dress on the BRIT Awards Red Carpet, then all the power to her.
Don't be fooled by what looks like a chocolate bar in her mouth, it's actually a beautifully crafted handbag which happens to look so realistic, we'd probably try to eat it too. "If you ever wondered what I taste like...?" the artist caption her Instagram post. Apparently, it's true; A picture's worth a thousand words.
I'll Be There for You
Now, this is what we call true love. By now, we've seen all of the wardrobe malfunctions that go down on the Red Carpet, so your significant other must notice the problem before you do. When Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo's dress started to fall and nearly expose her, her husband swooped in to save the day.
Adam Levine had his arm up within seconds, preventing his statuesque wife from feeling any additional embarrassment. So, it was here at the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar party where we all saw just how lucky this angel is to have a husband who's so on his game.
The Weeknd Couldn't Resist
To say that we were slightly anxious to witness the interaction between former lovebirds, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd, at the 2016 Victoria's Secret fashion show was an understatement. Hours before the show, Bella said, "There is no awkwardness. He is my best friend, and I am excited because I am walking during his performance."
Clearly, the singer couldn't keep his eyes off his model ex-girlfriend and was probably wishing that things worked out between them at this very moment you see here. We're not quite sure if The Weeknd thought he was being sneaky or not, but we caught him in the act, and truthfully, who can blame him for staring at this beauty?
A Carnivore Walked Onto the Carpet
Who's hungry? Well, for those who were lucky enough to attend MTV's Video Music Awards in 2010, there was plenty of meat to go around, thanks to the one and only Lady Gaga. This star has always been one to surprise us on the Red Carpet, but nothing will ever trump her outfit that was made entirely from raw meat.
Her dress, headpiece, and even boots were made of carnivorous material, so it's a good thing no animals were loose on the carpet. And get this, the unbelievable wardrobe wasn't thrown on the grill after the event, it was preserved in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in the Women Who Rock exhibition.
We Go Down Together
No, you are not looking at a live shot from a WWE match. While Cara Delevigne was strutting through the crowds at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, her feet suddenly got crossed as she stopped at the bar to chat with fashion designer Jonathan Saunders, and then found herself on the ground, only she wasn't alone.
Evidently, the model brought Jonathan down with her, and the two became really close, really fast. They both appeared to be hysterically laughing once they hit the ground, assuring everyone that no harm was done, just a very misleading photograph that went viral within minutes.
No Shoes, No Problem
Susan Sarandon has always been one to march to the beat of her own drum, even on her elegant walks down the Red Carpet. We can't blame her for wanting to spice things up from time to time since, after all, normal is just boring. This time, the actress skipped out on wearing shoes, and she loved every minute of it.
At the Lord of the Rings premiere in 2009, the actress proudly stepped out of her limo in a gorgeous black gown that complimented her bare feet beautifully. She said this was to honor Peter Jackson and the hobbits, making it seem more appropriate. At least she didn't go home with any blisters from her wearing high heels!
Hannibal Had Us Fooled
Prepare yourselves, everyone, because this man is not actually who he appears to be. To stir things up and make the Red Carpet action more exciting, Hannibal Buress paid an anonymous actor to take his place at the premiere of Spider-man: Homecoming in 2017.
There was a bit of foreshadowing leading up to the stunt, but it didn't seem like anyone picked up on it. The actor tweeted that he was looking for a "lookalike with solid comedic timing for an event tonight." His doppelganger fooled everyone during multiple interviews; Do you think he made his big break in Hollywood after this?
A Naughty Zipper
Oh no, not the zipper! This photo may look like perfection; the beautiful Giuliana Rancic doing her thing, interviewing our favorite stars beside the Red Carpet at the 2014 Oscars. But what you can't see is her dress breaking as we speak, but not to worry, her partner in crime, Ryan Seacrest, came to the rescue.
"My zipper just broke," Rancic exclaimed, while the cameras were rolling. Luckily Seacrest wasn't alone in this fashion emergency, he had the help of Kelly Osbourne, and within minutes the E! News gang pieced Giuliana back together. That's showbiz, folks!
How Far Is Too Far?
Ricky Gervais is known for roasting celebrities left and right each time he hosts an award show, but there was speculation that he may have gone too far at this year's Golden Globes. He started off his monologue by saying, "I came here in a limo, and the license plate was made by Felicity Huffman."
While he did an excellent job of keeping up with current events, Ricky could've spared Felicity Huffman the extra humiliation after she served 11 days in federal prison for her college admissions scandal. The host knows he can't please everyone and said in response, "I think it's what I was paid to do. I'm a court jester."
No Statement Was Being Made
At first glance, you might be thinking that Julia Roberts was trying to make a feminist statement back in 1999 at the premiere of Notting Hill. "The picture is vivid in my mind, actually, from that moment," the actress explained, which might be because there was no underlying meaning behind the photo.
"I think I just hadn't really calculated my sleeve length and the waving and how those two things would go together and reveal personal things about me," she added. Being a working mother, Roberts didn't prioritize shaving her armpits. We support you all the way, Julia, and Busy Philips called the look "very dope... I'm here for it."
Jerry Seinfeld Doesn't Hug Strangers
"I'm 63, I don't know every pop star," Jerry Seinfeld explained in an interview, after denying Kesha a hug at the David Lynch Foundation's National Light of Laughter and Song in 2017. The comedian claimed that Kesha approached him in the middle of an interview and tried to give him a hug, which did not go as planned.
"In my reality... I don't hug a total stranger," Seinfeld added. "I have to meet someone, say hello. Hug isn't first moment of a human, two humans." He said that Kesha was very nice and polite in the situation but still didn't get the hug she longed for. Pro tip: don't try and be affectionate towards Jerry Seinfeld.
These Gowns Just Aren't Meant for Walking
We're not quite sure why moving sidewalks like we see in the airport haven't yet been installed on the Red Carpet. Actress Liang Jingke got caught in her gorgeous emerald gown at the Venice Film Festival in 2016, and in the battle of woman versus dress, it looks like the dress won.
Jingke is undoubtedly not the first celebrity to take a tumble on the carpet, but thankfully, these two strong men helped her up in no time. While the gown hugged her slim figure perfectly and made for unbelievable photos, it looks like this wardrobe was not equipped for a walk down the Red Carpet.
Eyes on the Camera, Woody
It looks like no one was ready for this photo when the camera flashed, especially Woody Allen, who was slightly distracted by the beautiful woman to his right. Woody was caught red-handed at the Vicky Cristina Barcelona debut back in 2008, but can we blame the guy?
Scarlett Johanson is obviously breathtaking, however, we can't help but wonder how Penelope Cruz felt about this situation, being a little too close for comfort during the photo op. Whether Scarlett noticed Woody's eyes on her at the moment or not, she acted professional and continued on with the evening without making a peep.
Our Worst Enemy: Stairs
Hayden Panettiere was defeated by the ever-so-steep staircase at the Met Gala in 2014. One moment she was walking with her head held high, then the net, she wobbled her way to the ground. Evidently, no harm was done during the fall, as she kept a bright smile on her face the entire time.
Ushers rushed to Hayden's side to help her get back on her feet, and within minutes she was back to standing tall, posing for the paparazzi. The fall might have had a little something to do with the fact that the carpet isn't firmly attached to the ground since it's only a temporary walkway.
Ready, Aim, Fire
We really have no idea how this plan conspired, but to the unidentified woman who 'flour bombed - this was one for the books. The culprit of the act pelted Kim Kardashian with a mass of flour at the launch of True Reflection in West Hollywood in 2012, and then ran away immediately, however, she was caught by the police and arrested.
"That is probably the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me," Kim said. Her black and blue outfit was left with a white splattery effect mid-event, looking more like a pastry chef than a reality star on the Red Carpet. "Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of powder."
