Courteney Cox Nails Iconic 'Friends' Moment in Hilarious TikTok
| LAST UPDATE 05/18/2023
Hold onto your Central Perk cappuccinos because Monica Geller is back and she's better than ever - sort of. Believe it or not, in the most hilarious TikTok video you've ever seen, Courteney Cox teamed up with Kelli Erdmann to recreate one of Monica's most iconic moments, and boy are we living for it.
The sketch titled 'One Last Ride' pokes fun at one of Hollywood's classic tropes - the 'One Last Job'. You know, when the hero has retired but is forced to come out of retirement for one final mission. In the video, Erdmann walks into a barn-style building where Cox is polishing a cleaning spray bottle (because, why not?). "I knew you’d show up," Cox says as Erdmann opens the door, to which Erdmann replies, "It wasn't easy tracking you down, Cox." The scene is reminiscent of something out of an old spy movie, but with the perfect Monica twist. Seemingly knowing what the TikToker is after, Cox delivers her lines with pure sass: "It wasn't supposed to be. Those days are over. I've moved on. I left that life behind, and made a vow never to return." Cue dramatic music. But when Erdmann tells Cox that the whole world needs her, she can't resist. The camera cuts to the duo performing Monica and Ross' famous dance - 'The Routine' - from season six, and we can't help but cheer them on.
Fans of Friends will remember Ross and Monica's choreography from season six, where the brother-sister pair performed a dance routine they made up in high school. It was a hit with fans then, and it's still a hit now. Many took to the comments to encourage Cox to perform the dance with her former on-screen brother played by David Schwimmer, with one fan writing: "OMG you and David need to do the NYE Ross routine." And honestly, we couldn't agree more!
Cox recently opened up about getting facial fillers and her take on worrying about aging is pure gold. She told the Gloss Angeles Beauty Podcast that "Thinking I was getting older when I was really young, that's just a bummer, a waste of time. It's a domino effect. It's like you don't realize that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more cause you look normal to yourself, and you look in the mirror and go, 'Oh, that looks good.'" Hey, we think she looks good even without the fillers! And for all our UK Friends fans out there, don't worry, you can still stream Friends on Netflix and Comedy Central. And for those in the US, don't forget to catch the show on HBO Max. Now, let's all shout "Pivot!" for this amazing TikTok video, because it's truly a masterpiece.
