Blue collaborated on the song with her mom, Saint Jhn, and Wizkid. Erica Ash, the host of the BET awards pre-show, explained that "The songs in this category are as inspiring as they are empowering. Their themes speak to the bet Her audience - plus they made us bop a little too."

This wasn't Blue's first award on this particular song; She was previously recognized at the 2019 Soul Train Awards, where she received the Ashford & Simpson Songwriters' Award. She also won the Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration category at the NAACP Image Awards this year. Look out everyone, Blue Ivy's comin' in hot, and this is only the beginning.
