It's a mistake so common it's almost a cliche at this point. Couples make the ultimate public declaration of love by permanently inking their loved one's name or face on their body. This phenomenon is not limited to just the regular people of the world; celebrities can fall for it too - caught up in a moment of love, only to bitterly regret it later. If we're to take the tweets of Blake Lively at her word, it seems she's about to join the club with a thigh tattoo of Ryan Reynolds' face. Don't believe us? We've gathered up all the evidence...

The entire tattoo saga began when a passionate Ryan Reynold fan took to TikTok to show off his impressive thigh tattoo. Under the words "No Ragrets" was a picture of Ryan's face. This was followed by "switching to mint mobile" underneath, of course referring to Ryan's telecommunication company. Appreciating the gesture, the Deadpool star reposted the story on his Instagram page, detailing his theory on how the artwork came to be. "Every year at @mintmobile, we send a little Christmas gift to our customers," he captioned his post. "This year, it was a temporary tattoo. But some people are more committed to saving money with Mint than others," he joked.

It seems it was not just the actor himself who was impressed by this tattoo revelation; it inspired an idea for his wife, Blake Lively, too. The actress, who is currently pregnant with the couple's fourth child, also retweeted the story with her own caption. "I realize pregnancy is a strange time to get a thigh tat, but I'm nothing if not committed," she joked. Continuing the chain, Reyolds reposted his wife's story and wrote, "It's not a competition, but I also have my face tattoo on my thigh."

Whether or not these two can be taken seriously is up for debate, especially considering the two are known for their hilarious social media trolling. They say that a couple who laughs together stays together - so maybe those tats aren't such a bad idea after all?!
