Adam Sandler Reunites With IHOP Hostess After Hilarious Exchange Goes Viral

It's the icing on the cake - well, pancakes: After her viral exchange with the Hollywood legend didn't quite go as planned, IHOP hostess Dayanna Rodas finally got her happy ending. And she actually has bottomless milkshakes to thank for that. Yep, here's what went down...
On Monday, May 11, IHOP hostess Dayanna Rodas came face to face with Adam Sandler - again. Only this time, she did things slightly differently. "Couldn’t have been more excited!! Thank you Adam Sandler!" the fan gushed, alongside a snap with the 50 First Dates actor.

That's right, it appears that 30 minute wait wasn't to blame for his prior departure, after all. "For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes," Sandler joked on Twitter, after their initial exchange. And it wasn't long before IHOP took notice...
After announcing "Milkshake Monday" - bottomless milkshakes from 12 to 8 p.m. on May 11 at select locations - shortly after, IHOP caught the attention of one special customer. Any guess who we're talking about? Of course, the Sandman himself, who couldn't wait to join in on the sweet festivities. But their strawberry shakes aren't the only reason their special treat caught his eye.
A comedy icon (we can’t mention for legal reasons) has come up with a lot of sweet ideas over the years, but all-you-can-drink milkshakes takes the shake. Drink up Long Island, because it’s officially #MilkshakeMonday. All proceeds go to @ComedyGivesBack #YouKnowWhoWeMean pic.twitter.com/x11jk56esM

For every shake sold, the pancake house pledged to donate $1 to Comedy Gives Back, an organization dedicated to helping struggling comedians during the global pandemic. A cause we certainly get behind.
In case you forgot, Sandler and Rodas first crossed paths last month, when the not-so-smooth IHOP server took to TikTok to vent her frustrations. "Not realizing it's Adam Sandler and telling him it's a 30-minute wait," she confessed after failing to recognize the actor at a Long Island chain. (Which, honestly, we'd also be pissed.)
Luckily, though, her story finally got its happy ending. And while we might never get to say we sipped on milkshakes or built waffle houses with Adam Sandler, we're certainly happy for Miss Rodas (and only a little bit jealous)...
