We've all watched the sparks go off between The Voice coaches, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani, but what we haven't seen is their families' merging. But Blake's finally started opening up, and we've got all the details for you on this love story.

A significant part of dating someone with kids and is growing to love and respect their children and Blake admitted that it hasn't been the easiest. Blake's gotten to know each of Gwen's three children on a deeper level after quarantining with them for months, and Gwen couldn't have been more appreciative.

While Shelton doesn't have any children of his own, he's stepped in to fulfill some fatherly duties during his time with Stefani's kids. "He is a good dad, actually," Gwen told TODAY earlier in the year.
"That's a scary moment for me because for one thing, for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy," Blake explained to Hoda Kotb after Gwen's heartfelt Instagram post. "But then you have to consider after a while they start to listen to things that you say and there's a lot of responsibility that comes with that, which is new to me."

Back in 2017, Shelton told People, "For a long time, it was awkward trying to figure out what my place is and in their mind too." Evidently, Blake's settled into the family quite nicely, and Gwen couldn't be more thrilled to have him by her side.

"The best part for me, selfishly, is discovering a part of myself that I guess I never really knew was in there," Shelton added. "It's definitely an instinct that kind of kicks in."
