Whoever said age is just a number was clearly talking about Dorothy Pollack. This past June, the Michigan grandmother brought in her 103rd birthday. How'd she celebrate? Beer, burgers, and something many of us would never wish to endure.
“All of a sudden, I decided I would like to have one," the fearless grandmother revealed of her latest birthday 'gift': a tattoo. Yep, you read that right; Because who ever said there was an age limit to getting inked up?
But what exactly compelled the 103-year-old to take the (painful) plunge? "Covid-19 had her in prison for months," granddaughter, Teresa Zavitz-Jones, explained. "The nurse in the home said she was horribly depressed, and we needed to get her out."
So, what did she do? On Friday, August 7th, after being discharged from her nursing home, the bold grandma made her way to the A.W.O.L. Custom Tattooing Parlor in Muskegon, to honor the one thing she loves more than beer and burgers: frogs.
"All of a sudden, I decided I would like to have one. And if I could, a frog. Because I like frogs," Dorothy explained to CNN. But that's not all. After taking the tattoo "like a champ," as her tattoo artist, Ray Reasoner Jr., put it, she decided to tick off another legendary feat.
...Taking a sweet ride on the back of a motorcycle; Because, why not? Clearly, we could all learn a thing or two from Miss Pollack and never stop living life to the fullest.
Though, not so sure that'd call for frog tattoos. Your call, I guess.
