Mother Gets Charged A Huge Bill After Toddler Plays With Her Phone

There truly is nothing more unnatural than a child playing on a cellphone and yet, it's something you see pretty much every single day. We can't really be surprised now that all these awesome games (for children) have come out on mom's phone! However, we may have underestimated what they're capable of doing.

Isabella McNeil thought it had to be some sort of mistake when she received a text message to say that her three-piece sofa was on its way. The first logical conclusion was that the text was sent to her by accident but, then when she got a follow-up confirmation that it was being shipped out, it was time to worry.

Isabella sifted through her memory to see if she could have possibly ordered this couch "in her sleep". As logical as that sounds, there had to be a better explanation.

She soon remembered that she had given her toddler her phone to play with a few days ago. In an attempt to keep little Rayan occupied, she gave her the only thing she had on her to play with. Assuming she would play Candy Crush or something, Isabella had no reason to worry.

However, Rayna had better intentions than to play a silly game. The two-year-old decided to order a three-piece sofa valued at £340

"She grabbed my phone like she usually does to play with it and the Amazon app was still open and she hit the buy now with 1 click button by accident. I didn't realize it until I got a notification saying your couch has shipped [at] which point I couldn't cancel in time," said Isabella.

Whilst Isabella was trying to calculate how her toddler managed to make a purchase so drastic, it was already arriving. To make matters worse, it would've cost her £141 to return it and have it shipped back. Her only other option was to sell it.

Clearly, those Amazon applications mean it when they say buy at one click of a button. Unfortunately, Isabella has had no luck with selling her new, very expensive, couch. She now urges other parents to be more careful of their children when it comes to phones.

"I just think parents need to be more aware, that when you're giving your kids a phone, make sure all the apps are closed make sure the passwords are fingerprint locked. Make sure they don't know your number password because kids are a lot smarter than we think."

She definitely learned her lesson but "Sometimes, when you're a mom and you're just in that desperation and you just kind of want them to settle down, the first thing you go to is, 'Here, play with my phone for a little bit'. It's not worth $179 to just let her play with my phone. Now I'm going to be a lot more aware of my Amazon app."
