As you can already imagine, hearing a child's first words is one of the most joyous occasions in a parent's life. So when Amy Schumer's little one blurted out 'Dada' for the first time, you can bet it was one for the books. Seriously, brace yourself for cuteness overload...

"This video was clearly a surprise to us," the comedian shared on October 4th of the viral moment. "Getting to experience these first moments with my son makes me feel so lucky." So, how did it all go down?

It all started with a heartwarming clip, where Amy and her 16-month-old son, Gene, "just wanted to say 'Hi, Daddy. We miss you. We hope you're having a fun day.'" Sure enough, everything changed the minute Schumer asked, 'Can you say 'Dad'?"
"Dad!" baby Gene squealed in excitement. Unfortunately, that happiness didn't last long - for the confused little guy, at least. After causing his proud momma and her friends to cheer at the sight, it was only a matter of time before the toddler burst into tears.

Hey, you win some, you lose some, right? Though, from the looks of it, something tells us the poor baby won't be repeating that word anytime soon. Sorry, dad.

In all seriousness, though, we've got to wonder: now that baby Schumer's a whizz at his vocabulary, when can we expect to be hearing those one-liners? Either way, that baby is destined for greatness...
