Just as we thought Sandler had hung up his comedy gloves after Uncut Gems, the hilarious actor is back to his old ways with a new feature film. Hubie Halloween is said to be released on October 31st and we can't wait for Adam to get a giggle out of us again.
In case you forgot, Sandler made a vow to his fans if he didn't win an oscar for Uncut Gems. “If I don’t get it, I’m going to come back and do one again that is so bad on purpose just to make you all pay,” he joked. Well, it looks like he's a man of his word.
Hubie Halloween is a comedy that will bring Sandler back together with collaborators from his past films, including Steven Brill, director of Sandler’s last (well liked) comedy special, Mr. Deeds, and Little Nicky. Netflix wet our appetites with a few pictures that featured some of the on-screen collaborators. Including the likes of Julie Bowen and Kevin James. Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph, also made an appearance in the photos, along with their killer costumes.
Of course, it wouldn't be a real Sandler film without appearances from Steve Buscemi and Rob Schneider, who will also be in the upcoming movie.
The film is about Hubie Dubois, who will be played by Sandler. He's a native who spends every Halloween annoyingly encouraging people to celebrate safely. All while being a mama's boy and a rule-keeper. It sounds like the film is going to be a typical Adam Sandler comedy, which leads us to believe that it probably won't suck.
Needless to say, we're definitely excited and can't wait for October!
