If you don’t remember our Warner Bros Harry Potter video, now would be a good time to rewatch. In it, comedian Rob Delaney posed as a Warner Bros executive and told Harry Potter fans to fuck off and stop whining about the delay of the release of their movie. It’s a very funny video and was well received. However, Russia (we’re not singling out a news program; we’re gonna credit the whole country for this) decided to misinterpret the video and think it was actually Warner Bros telling fans to fuck off. If you speak Russian, like I do, you will hear the reporter talk about Warner Bros’ “risky move of releasing a video through web portal Comedy.com”. Russians also translated Delaney’s vulgar rant using colorful Russian phrases such as “dick in a cup”.
