Warren Spahn.(The 363-game winner was struck on the schnozz with a his baseball,which broke his nose and gave it a hook effect.Along with Yogi Berra,briefly formed baseball's oldest- Spahn was 44,Berra 40-and ugliest battery in '65.) Willie McGee(ET,phone home!!!!) Mickey Lolich(Should be a Hall-Of-Famer,in this observer's view,and was fat-think David Wells,Bartolo Colon,Sir Sidney Ponson,etc. of two generations ago-jug-eared and thick- lipped.(And I'm African-Canadian,so don't drop any "racist" tags on me;I saw Lolich pitch in the 60's and 70's-great pit- cher,not to be found in "Cosmopolitan.") Ray Oyler-Greatest-fielding shortstop I ever saw-most defin- itely including Ozzie Smith-but a career .165 hitter(one-thirty- five in '68) had a thin,VERY narrow face we Windsorites of the era called a "mouse face." Jimmy Stewart(the 60's and 70's reserve infielder,not the iconic actor):see Ray Oyler,but was a better hitter than the Tigers semi-regular '68 World Champion shortstop. How's THAT partial list,boys?
