As you can see, the site that you’ve come to know and love has temporarily been replaced by a coming soon page. If you linked to Comedy.com expecting to see all of our ridiculously funny, laugh out loud videos, we deeply apologize that you instead found this old-fashioned blog post. However, you should know that we’re on track to launch our new site in January 2008 with more of our original content, jokes, standup and the LOL List.
LOL List? What’s that?
Glad you asked. One of the cool things about our new site is our patented funny content engine, which we’re calling the LOL List. The LOL List is, essentially, a list of the funniest stuff on the Web right now as voted on by you. Here’s how it works…
1) You find something funny anywhere on the Web or you create something funny of your own (video, joke, website, news article, or even just a funny image)
2) Submit that funny thing to the LOL List on Comedy.com. You now have your very own entry on the LOL List with a vote of one! (yours)
3) Send it to all your friends and tell them to LOL it!
4) The more LOLs your submission receives in the shortest amount of time, the higher it goes on the LOL List. If your submission gets to the top, well, then that means not only do you think you’re funny, you actually are funny.
Now if you’re more the couch-potato type of Web user, then you’ll be able to click around Comedy.com, watch funny videos, read some jokes, and then use the LOL it! button to give any funny content you find your seal of funny approval.
The LOL List runs all the time and so it’s constantly up to date and full of the freshest, funniest content on the Web.
