Welcome to the comedy.com blog: where we share all the news surrounding our website (comedy.com) and a little behind the scenes dirt as well.
First off, for a “funny” website, there sure is a lot of drama here at comedy.com. For instance, one of our biggest stars, John “Hotsauce” Newton (who happens to be a homeless man in Santa Monica), suddenly became unreachable. When it’s time to film his show, we usually just call his cellphone and then meet up with him “on location”. However, his cellphone died or something so we spent a good week trying to track him down and make sure he’s okay and could shoot his show (Bumalog). We finally found him and we’re happy to report that he’s okay.
A bit of good news…. also having to do with John “Hotsauce” Newton… we recently released our Jokester widget. You’ll get to see John being the funny jokester that he is right on the widget. It’s pretty cool because you can flip the widget over and embed it anywhere you want like on facebook or blogger, etc. Yeah for the mash-up!!!
Most importantly, we’re prepping for our big launch of comedy.com. For those of you who haven’t heard, the site that was online was like a pre-BETA site so we can show off some of our content. The site we’re creating is much better– more funny stuff and great stuff to do: the LOL List (a cool ranking engine to help you find –and promote– funny content on the web), original funny web shows, 30,000+ jokes, daily video jokes, funny profiles (your personalized spot to promote your own funny content, express your sense of humor, and connect with other funny people) and more!
Good, clean, wholesome fun! Well, good fun at least.
